Merlin Mann on Self Help, Expertise, and Uncertainty
Makebelieve Help, Old Butchers, and Figuring Out Who You Are
Merlin Mann’s video ramble just shook my existential marbles. I don’t know what else to add other than to trust me, find a free 37 minutes of your time, and watch it. I’m still grappling with it. There are many things to chew on here. It’s meta, but not quite.

It’s a good one. No doubt it’s quite decompressed and could probably have been done in 5 minutes instead of 30+, but I get the impression that he was using the video to develop his thoughts as they were occurring.

Yeah. Most of his videos and other stuff he does online that isn’t 43folders are just irreverent rambles that I’m sure their not to be taken seriously. But I think he was truly being earnest here.
